Alt American Civil War by ericremotesteam Alt American Civil War by ericremotesteam
Screenshot taken from Victoria 2 (with the Pop Demand Mod and House Divided expansion active), a strategy game made by awesome Swedish company known as Paradox Interactive, who are also know for other titles such as Hearts of Iron and the Europa Universalis series.

Also on a side note, this game is the primary reason I haven't been drawing lately. *_*

Screenshot taken because I can. :P

This map looks all cool and stuff until you realize that since the northern states left the Union it must mean that the rest of the United States has embraced slavery.

Whats better is when both the CSA and FSA break away

Anyway congrats on the neatish borders, the FSA has a tendency to split off in ugly non-continuous ways

Essentially instead of the Confederate States leaving the Union in order to preserve slavery, the Free States have left the union in order to make an effort to stop the spread of/abolish slavery, presumably because the abolitionist's fears that a "slave power" was slowly taking over the government started to become more and more plausible (presumably because states such as California and Oregon and Colorado and stuff like that were being admitted into the union as slave states as opposed to free ones).

A reverse civil war, if you will.
